Abuja City Journal reports that the Presidential Election Petition Court in Abuja ruled on Wednesday that President Bola Tinubu was not convicted in the United States, and that he did not need to win 25% of the votes in the FCT to be declared president, as the Labour Party and its presidential candidate, Peter Obi, argued in their petitions.<\/p>\n

Justice Haruna Tsammani, head of the five-member bench, said: \u201cThe voters in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, were equal to every other voter in the states in Nigeria; hence, Abuja had no special status.\u201d<\/p>\n

In his statement following the verdict, Charly Boy did not mince words. He expressed his lack of confidence in the justice system and his belief that the tribunal’s decision did not align with his expectations of a fair and impartial evaluation of the election’s validity.<\/p>\n

Reacting via his X page, Charly Boy said the judgement showed that Nigerians are not yet tired of suffering.<\/p>\n

He wrote: \u201cI didn\u2019t expect justice. But I have a strong feeling say we never really tire to suffer. Like [Yusuf] Datti said, \u2018the fate of the common man doesn\u2019t lie in the hands of the judiciary but in the hands of the common man himself.\u2019 E be like say we never ready.”<\/p>\n
