The ex-governor, dressed in a navy blue suit with a black cap, was escorted by more than 10 EFCC operatives.<\/p>\n<p>The nine-count charge against Obiano alleges involvement in a N4 billion fraud, a case initiated by the Federal Government through the EFCC. As he entered the court premises around 8 am, he was kept inside a vehicle marked ABC 573 KQ before being escorted into the courtroom by EFCC operatives. His followers and sympathizers were prevented from accessing him.<\/p>\n<p>Although the identity of Obiano&#8217;s defense lawyers remains unconfirmed, over 50 lawyers are already present in the courtroom. Justice Inyang Edem Ekwo is expected to preside over the proceedings.
