Solomon Dalung, a former Minister of Sports, has made startling claims, alleging that influential “cabals” within the Presidency have taken control of President Bola Tinubu’s administration. Dalung, who previously served as a minister under ex-President Muhammadu Buhari, contends that these alleged cabals include appointees of Tinubu operating with external interests.<\/p>\n
In an interview on Channels Television<\/em> on Wednesday, Dalung cautioned President Tinubu to be wary of the influence of such cabals within his government. He emphasized the importance of the President appointing individuals who share his vision and beliefs.<\/p>\n Dalung conveyed his perspective, stating, “The cabal is possible and avoidable. The only way to avoid this cabal while making your first critical appointments, such as the Chief of Staff, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, National Security Adviser, Minister of Justice \u2013 you must be able to bring the people whom you know and believe in your vision.”<\/p>\n Highlighting the covert activities of these cabals, Dalung pointed out that while they may not hold high-profile positions, their influence is significant. He identified them as Special Assistants (SA) or Personal Assistants (PA) who work closely with key figures like the Chief of Staff.
