The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) South West Zonal Office has disclosed that the explosion at Adeyi Estate in Bodija, Ibadan, Oyo State, was caused by Improved Explosive Devices (IEDs).<\/p>\n
The Southwest Zonal Office of NEMA received a distress alert at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, reporting the explosion at Bodija GRA behind Ace Mall Ibadan. Subsequently, mobilized response agencies were dispatched to the scene to assess and manage the situation.<\/p>\n
Upon arrival, NEMA observed that the explosion was suspected to be caused by an IED, impacting over 20 houses. However, casualty figures have not been confirmed, and search and rescue operations are still underway.<\/p>\n
