Senate President Sen. Godswill Akpabio has affirmed that the South East geopolitical zone, just like any other region in the country, will receive proper attention and care under the leadership of President Bola Tinubu.<\/p>\n
Represented by his deputy, Senator Jibrin Barau, Akpabio expressed the federal government’s confidence in the leadership of the South East and assured the region that it has nothing to worry about.<\/p>\n
Speaking to journalists at St Michael\u2019s Catholic Parish Mbeke Ishieke in Ebonyi Local Government Area of Ebonyi State during a Thanksgiving\/Empowerment program organized by Deputy Chief Whip Sen. Onyekachi Nwebonyi, Akpabio urged the people of the South East to remain calm, emphasizing that the region will be duly taken care of during President Bola Ahmed Tinubu\u2019s administration.<\/p>\n
Akpabio extolled the virtues of President Tinubu, stating that he is committed to ensuring an equitable distribution of projects among all the geopolitical zones.<\/p>\n
“You can see the confidence the president has in the leadership of the South East, so feel at home. The South East is going to be taken care of by Mr President, including North Central, South South, North East, and Nigeria at large,” he assured. “And it is going to be done in a manner that no one will ever be left behind in the distribution of the nation\u2019s wealth.”<\/p>\n
The Thanksgiving\/Empowerment program witnessed Senator Onyekachi Nwebonyi handing over 78 bungalows to the less privileged in his senatorial district.
