The notice, posted on the NCC&#8217;s Twitter page, claimed that Glo lacked significant or justifiable reasons for the non-payment of interconnect charges.<\/p>\n<p>Part of the notice stated: &#8220;All subscribers are requested to take notice that the commission has approved the partial disconnection of Globacom to MTN.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>According to the NCC, at the end of 10 days from January 8, 2024, subscribers of Globacom would no longer be able to make calls to MTN but could still receive calls.<\/p>\n<p>Contrary to these claims, a Glo official insisted that proper fact-checking should have been conducted before concluding that the telco was in arrears to MTN.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We are not owing MTN any interconnect charges,&#8221; the Glo official emphasized.
