Outlined below are the five straightforward steps for applying for a passport through the newly unveiled portal:<\/p>\n
Step 1: Proceed to the Official Website – Enter NIN Details<\/strong><\/p>\n Applicants are required to visit the official website passport.immigration.gov.ng and enter their National Identification Number (NIN). The portal will automatically fill in personal data from the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC). Details such as date of birth and an auto-generated captcha will be added to confirm identity.<\/p>\n Step 2: Complete Data Fields on Passport Type<\/strong><\/p>\n Once the NIN-generated data is completed, applicants will be directed to select the type of passport they are applying for. The options include the state for passport processing, booklet type, and the processing office. The choices made will determine the associated passport fees, with a 5-year, 32-page passport application priced at N35,000, and a 10-year, 64-page passport at N64,000. For Nigerians in the diaspora, fees are set at $142 for a 5-year validity (32 pages) and $242 for a 10-year validity (64 pages).<\/p>\n Step 3: Upload<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n Passport Photograph and Supporting Documents**<\/p>\n Applicants are instructed to upload passport photographs that adhere to International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) standards.
