A 43-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly stabbing his sleeping wife to death in Damaturu, Yobe State.<\/p>\n
This was disclosed in an incident report shared with newsmen by the Police Public Relations Officer, Yobe State Command, DSP Dungus Abdulkarim.<\/p>\n
\u201cOn 4\/1\/2024 at about 0448 hrs, a distress call was received by \u2018C\u2019 Divisional Police Headquarters, Damaturu, that one Abubakar Musa, \u2018M\u2019 43yrs of New Housing Estate, Bye-pass, Maiduguri Road, Damaturu, while sleeping on the same bed, with his wife, Ammi Adamu Mamman, \u2018F\u2019 42yrs, she was stabbed with an object on her neck, causing a deep cut which resulted in heavy bleeding and led to her death.<\/p>\n
The husband was arrested for interrogation\u201d, the report read.
\nAccording to the incident report, findings revealed that both the victim and the suspect are staff of Yobe State University, (YSU), Damaturu.<\/p>\n
He added that investigation had commenced immediately by the homicide unit of the State CID.
