Super Eagles coach Jose Peseiro has revealed the much-anticipated final 25-man squad for the upcoming African Cup of Nations (AFCON) set to take place in Cote d’Ivoire from January 13 to February 11, 2024.<\/p>\n
Gunning for their fourth AFCON title, Nigeria finds itself in Group A alongside hosts Ivory Coast, Equatorial Guinea, and Guinea Bissau. The Portuguese manager, whose future with the team remains uncertain, initially presented a 40-man provisional squad in December, including three goalkeepers from the local league.<\/p>\n
In the latest reveal, Peseiro has included African Footballer of the Year, Victor Osimhen, team captain Ahmed Musa, and Chippa United goalkeeper Stanley Nwabili in the final squad.
