According to Yahaya, on December 14, 2023, the troops conducted a coordinated clearance operation within Dada, Rukudawa, and Dumburum villages in Zurmi Local Government Area of Zamfara State. An encounter ensued, and the troops’ power superiority compelled the terrorists to retreat and flee with gunshot wounds. One terrorist was neutralized during the operation, and the troops aggressively advanced, dismantling enclaves of notorious terrorist kingpins, Gwaska Dan Karami, and Dangote, who fled their hideouts in disarray.<\/p>\n
During the mop-up operation, the troops recovered two guns, two motorcycles, various pairs of military camouflage uniforms, communication gadgets, and ammunition.<\/p>\n
In a separate operation, the combined troops of OPHD in Sokoto State conducted a clearance operation, resulting in the neutralization of four terrorists in Masasa village. Numerous other terrorists escaped with gunshot wounds, while the troops recovered one AK-47 rifle, two Tecno phones, and \u20a6282,050 in cash during the encounter.<\/p>\n
