Dr Nafisa Mohammed , the Commissioner for women, Children and Social Development revealed that the Zamfara State Government has announced its intention to prosecute the woman accused of aggrevated assault against her 12 year old step daughter in Tsafe town, Tsafe Local Government Area.
\nShe highlighted the distressing case, stating, \u201cWe received a report that one Aisha Mustapha of Tsafe town brutally assaulted her 12-year-old stepdaughter by melting nylon on her body and forcing her to drink her urine.\u201d<\/p>\n
Expressing the government\u2019s stance on such abuse, the Commissioner asserted, \u201cThe government of Zamfara State will not condone this kind of abuse, and soon, the accused woman will be taken to court to face the consequences of her actions.\u201d<\/p>\n
Dr Nafisa assured that the Zamfara State government, in collaboration with various non-governmental organizations in the state, would pursue the case rigorously to ensure that justice is served if the accused woman is found guilty.<\/p>\n
The victim\u2019s mother, Malama Maryam Muhammad, pleaded with the state government and concerned non-governmental organizations operating in the state to thoroughly investigate all the alleged atrocities committed by the accused person.<\/p>\n
