The Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PTAD), a Federal Government agency, has initiated a comprehensive computation project aimed at resolving issues related to delayed payments for verified pensioners and the Next-of-Kin (NoK) of deceased pensioners.<\/p>\n
Dr. Chioma Ejikeme, the Executive Secretary of PTAD, announced the launch of this project in response to complaints from pensioners and the NoK of deceased pensioners who have experienced delays in receiving gratuity and death benefits, even after completing the verification process.<\/p>\n
Ejikeme clarified that the meticulous scrutiny of NoK documents was a necessary step in the payment process, aimed at ensuring that funds are directed accurately to the rightful beneficiaries. She also acknowledged that delayed responses from organizations where the deceased pensioners were previously employed contributed to the overall delay in payments.<\/p>\n
The overarching goal of this extensive project is to categorize and assess all verified NoK files, addressing complaints, and identifying eligible beneficiaries who have yet to receive their payments. Ejikeme urged the Next-of-Kins of deceased pensioners, who have undergone verification by PTAD but are still awaiting payments, to submit their complaints to nokcomplaints@ptad.gov.ng. This proactive step will enable the project team to investigate and resolve their concerns efficiently.<\/p>\n
