As of 2022, Adelabu revealed that 70.5% of Nigeria’s electricity is generated from thermal plants (gas), 27.3% from hydro sources, and 2.2% from solar and other power plants. Addressing challenges, Adelabu expressed concerns about gas pricing in US dollars, proposing trading in the local currency, the naira, to manage currency-related issues.
